About Day of Arafah
The Day of Arafah is 9 Dhu al-Hijjah, when pilgrims stand on the plain of Arafah during Hajj. It is the central day of the pilgrimage.
For Muslims who are not on Hajj, fasting this day is strongly recommended. The Prophet ﷺ said that it expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year (Sahih Muslim).
