In which month is fasting obligatory?
In Ramadan, the month in which the Quran was revealed (Quran 2:185). Muslims fast from dawn to sunset.
What is the usual zakat rate on savings?
It is 2.5% of wealth that has reached the nisab and has been held for a lunar year. The Zakat calculator on this site helps you work out your own.
Which days is Hajj performed?
From the 8th to the 12th or 13th of Dhul-Hijjah. The Day of 'Arafah, the 9th, is its main rite.
