When was the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ born?
He was born in Makkah in the Year of the Elephant, around 570 CE. Scholars agree on the year but differ on the exact day.
How long did he live, and where is he buried?
He lived about 63 years and received revelation for 23 years. He passed away in Madinah in the year 11 AH and is buried in the room of 'A'ishah, which is now inside the Prophet's Mosque.
Which sources are used for the seerah questions?
The Quran, the authentic hadith, and early biographies such as Sirah Ibn Hisham. When an answer depends on a historian's account rather than a hadith, the source is named.
