El profeta Lut

Conocido en la Biblia como Lot

Lut was sent to a people who committed an immorality that no one in the worlds had committed before them.

La historia

A people who crossed the limits

Lut asks his people why they commit such an immorality. They have no answer except to say that his family should be driven out of their town. Allah saves him and his family, except his wife, who stays behind, and a rain of stones falls on the others.

Al-A'raf 7:80–84Ash-Shu'ara 26:160–169

Y a Lot.

¡Temed, pues, a Alá y obedecedme!

Dijeron: «Si no paras, Lot, serás, ciertamente, expulsado».

Dijo: «Detesto vuestra conducta.

The messengers arrive

Allah’s messengers come to Lut, and he is distressed for them. His people rush to him, and he asks them to fear Allah and not to disgrace him before his guests. The messengers tell him that they are messengers of his Lord, and that he should leave with his family by night.

Hud 11:77–83

¡Aquí tenéis a mis hijas. Son más puras para vosotros. ¡Temed a Alá y no me avergoncéis en mis huéspedes! ¿No hay entre vosotros un hombre honrado?

Dijeron: «Ya sabes que no tenemos ningún derecho a tus hijas. Tú ya sabes lo que queremos...»

Dijeron: «¡Lot!

marcadas junto a tu Señor. Y no está lejos de los impíos.
