وَلَا تَقْتُلُوٓا۟ أَوْلَٰدَكُمْ خَشْيَةَ إِمْلَٰقٍۢ ۖ نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُهُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ قَتْلَهُمْ كَانَ خِطْـًۭٔا كَبِيرًۭا ﴿٣١﴾
你们不要因为怕贫穷而杀害自己的儿女，我供给他们和你们。杀害他们确是大罪。

Scholars agree it is forbidden after the soul is breathed into the child (taught to be 120 days) unless the mother's life is in danger. Before that, they differ: some forbid it unless there is a real need, and others allow it for a valid reason before 40 days. The Quran forbids killing children (17:31, 6:151). 你说：你们来吧，来听我宣读你们的主所禁戒你们的事项：你们不要以物配主，你们应当孝敬父母；你们不要因为贫穷而杀害自己的儿女，我供给你们和他们；你们不要临近明显的和隐微的丑事；你们不要违背真主的禁令而杀人，除非因为正义。他将这些事嘱咐你们，以便你们了解。
