يَٰزَكَرِيَّآ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَٰمٍ ٱسْمُهُۥ يَحْيَىٰ لَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مِن قَبْلُ سَمِيًّۭا ﴿٧﴾
«¡Zacarías! Te anunciamos la buena nueva de un muchacho que se llamará Juan, sin homónimos en el pasado».

Yahya was given prophethood while still a boy.
La historia
Judgement as a boy
Allah says: “O Yahya, take the Scripture with determination.” He gave him judgement while a boy, tenderness from Himself and purity. He was devoted to his parents and was not arrogant or disobedient. Peace is upon him the day he was born, the day he dies and the day he is raised alive.
Mostrar los versículos (10)
قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِى غُلَٰمٌۭ وَكَانَتِ ٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرًۭا وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ مِنَ ٱلْكِبَرِ عِتِيًّۭا ﴿٨﴾
«¡Señor!» dijo «¿Cómo puedo tener un muchacho, siendo mi mujer estéril y yo un viejo decrépito?»
قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَىَّ هَيِّنٌۭ وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ تَكُ شَيْـًۭٔا ﴿٩﴾
«Así será», dijo. «Tu Señor dice: 'Es cosa fácil para Mí. Ya te he creado antes cuando no eras nada'».
قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجْعَل لِّىٓ ءَايَةًۭ ۚ قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَٰثَ لَيَالٍۢ سَوِيًّۭا ﴿١٠﴾
Dijo: «¡Señor! ¡Dame un signo!» Dijo: «Tu signo será que, estando sano, no podrás hablar a la gente durante tres días».
فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْمِحْرَابِ فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِمْ أَن سَبِّحُوا۟ بُكْرَةًۭ وَعَشِيًّۭا ﴿١١﴾
Entonces, salió del Templo hacia su gente y les significó que debían glorificar mañana y tarde.
يَٰيَحْيَىٰ خُذِ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ بِقُوَّةٍۢ ۖ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ ٱلْحُكْمَ صَبِيًّۭا ﴿١٢﴾
«¡Juan! ¡Coge la Escritura con mano firme!» Y le otorgamos el juicio cuando aún era niño,
وَحَنَانًۭا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَزَكَوٰةًۭ ۖ وَكَانَ تَقِيًّۭا ﴿١٣﴾
así como ternura de Nosotros y pureza. Y fue temeroso de Alá
وَبَرًّۢا بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ وَلَمْ يَكُن جَبَّارًا عَصِيًّۭا ﴿١٤﴾
y piadoso con sus padres; no fue violento, desobediente.
وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوْمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ يُبْعَثُ حَيًّۭا ﴿١٥﴾
¡Paz sobre él el día que nació, el día que muera y el día que sea resucitado a la vida!
فَنَادَتْهُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَهُوَ قَآئِمٌۭ يُصَلِّى فِى ٱلْمِحْرَابِ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكَ بِيَحْيَىٰ مُصَدِّقًۢا بِكَلِمَةٍۢ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَسَيِّدًۭا وَحَصُورًۭا وَنَبِيًّۭا مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ﴿٣٩﴾
Los ángeles le llamron cuando, de pie, oraba en el Templo: «Alá te anuncia la buena nueva de Juan, en confirmación de una Palabra que procede de Alá, y que será jefe, abstinente, profeta, de l os justos».
