La historia
Dawud and Jalut
The believers go out against Jalut (Goliath) and his soldiers and pray for patience, firm feet and victory. They defeat them by Allah’s permission, and Dawud kills Jalut. Allah gives him kingship and wisdom.
Strength and praise
Allah calls him strong and ever turning back. He makes the mountains and the birds join him in praise, strengthens his kingdom, gives him wisdom and decisive speech, and softens iron for him so that he makes coats of mail. He gave him the Zabur.
Y dimos a David Salmos.
The two disputants
Two adversaries climb into his prayer chamber, and one says that his companion has ninety-nine ewes while he has one. Dawud judges, then realises that he has been tested. He asks forgiveness, falls down in prostration and turns back to Allah, who forgives him. He is told to judge between people with truth and not to follow desire.
Dijeron: «¡No tengas miedo!
