Yes. Allah forbids extravagance (7:31), and calls wasteful people the brothers of the devils (17:26-27). Spending is encouraged within need and means, and wasting food or money on what has no benefit is sinful.
۞ يَٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ خُذُوا۟ زِينَتَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍۢ وَكُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ وَلَا تُسْرِفُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ ﴿٣١﴾
¡Hijos de Adán! ¡Atended a vuestro atavío siempre que oréis! ¡Comed y bebed, pero no cometáis excesos, que Él no ama a los inmoderados!
وَءَاتِ ذَا ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ حَقَّهُۥ وَٱلْمِسْكِينَ وَٱبْنَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَلَا تُبَذِّرْ تَبْذِيرًا ﴿٢٦﴾
Da lo que es de derecho al pariente, así como al pobre y al viaiero, pero sin prodigarte demasiado,
إِنَّ ٱلْمُبَذِّرِينَ كَانُوٓا۟ إِخْوَٰنَ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ ۖ وَكَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ لِرَبِّهِۦ كَفُورًۭا ﴿٢٧﴾
que los pródigos son hermanos de los demonios, y el Demonio es desagradecido para con su Señor.
